Valorie Arrowsmith

Valorie Arrowsmith learned weaving in 1973. Later, after moving to England, she attended a college of art and design and took a three-year certificate course in Applied Design focusing on textile design. Since then she has taught weaving through a community college, community education, the Concordia Language Villages, Høstfest in Minot, North Dakota, the Festival of Nations, and the Wahlstrom Nordic Workshop. She has designed many costumes inspired by the Nordic folk traditions, which have been used for Braham Pie Day, the Isanti County Potato Festival, and numerous Swedish festivals in the Upper Midwest.
