Rodney Johnson has lived in Oulu, WI, his whole life, speaking Finnish regularly with the older generations. Rodney picked up woodworking as a hobby later in life. He has taught woodcarving to kids through 4H for decades, receiving a Lifetime Volunteer Hall of Fame Award in 2016. Rodney also regularly does projects for residents in and around Oulu, including the bell tower and benches at the Heritage Center as well as the “Welcome to Oulu” signs around the community.
