Irene Raimo was born in Chicago but grew up in Norway after getting stuck there with her parents during World War II, eventually returning to America as a teenager. Irene has knit Norwegian patterned sweaters for most members of her large family and has done many other Norwegian handicrafts, including Hardanger embroidery.
Irene Raimo passed away in 2021.
