Join post-doc Chrissy Widmayer for her online workshop on telling the family story with our friends at the Norwegian American Genealogical Center. Participants will consider best practices for telling or writing their family story. How can you translate genealogical research into a narrative? How do you pick the most important details to share? How can you make your stories interesting and exciting for your chosen audience or readers? Bring your ideas, questions, and even stories-in-progress!

Registration with the Norwegian American Genealogical Center is required.

When: Tuesday, April 28. 10:00am-11:30pm. This workshop will be 90-minutes long.

Cost: $10 member/$15 non-member

This workshop is made possible thanks to a partnership between the Sustaining Scandianvian Folk Arts in the Upper Midwest project at the Center for the Study of Upper Midwestern Cultures at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Wisconsin Humanities’ Community Powered initiative, which works to build resilience in communities using the tools of history, culture, and storytelling.
